LTB Club is pleased to announce the launching of LTB Club Pittsburgh, coming March 2025! This will mark the first LTB program in the state of Pennsylvania, and the first out-of market program. LTB Pittsburgh will be led by Doug Caputo. Please see below for all details regarding our program in Pittsburgh.
LTB Club
LTB Club was started in 2018 as a player development program for players of all ages. LTB focuses on basketball and character development, and the program uses the game of basketball as a vehicle to help student-athletes on and off the court. LTB’s mission is to teach the fundamentals and basic skills of basketball, while also encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, and discipline. Since 2018, LTB has grown from (30) players to over (600) players in 2024. LTB is considered one of the fastest growing AAU programs in the state of Ohio. LTB offers small group training sessions, and local travel (AAU) teams to boys and girls in grades 3rd-11th.
Doug Caputo
LTB Pittsburgh will be led by Doug Caputo. Doug comes to LTB with an extensive and impressive resume. As a player, Caputo had a stellar four-year playing career at John Carroll University. He was a three-time All-OAC selection and was a member of the 2015-16 OAC Championship Team. Caputo was also a part of two John Carroll teams that made appearances in the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament. Caputo graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from John Carroll in 2017.
As a coach, Caputo served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Cardinal Mooney High School. He then went on to spend two seasons as an Assistant Basketball Coach at Westminster College. He is now in his second season as an Assistant Basketball Coach at Chatham University. He is intimately involved in recruiting, on-court coaching, practice planning, opponent scouting, player development, and game planning. He helped the Cougars secure their second PAC Championship (2023) and second automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Along with a stellar playing career and college coaching experience, Doug served as a lead coach with the Cavs Academy of the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2016-2019. Doug helped lead many camps, clinics, and skill sessions to boys and girls all over Ohio, Pennsylvania, and western New York. Along with coaching for the Cavs Academy, Doug has run countless skill workouts and practice sessions for many players of all ages.
Training Facilities
LTB Pittsburgh will offer two training facilities in the spring of 2025. M7 Sports, located in Aliquippa, and Chatham University, located in Pittsburgh. The two facilities will allow players to attend sessions on two different sides of the greater Pittsburgh area. Both facilities are state-of-the-art, and will provide athletes with plenty of gym space for proper skill development and training.
